Religious Hostility Case is Appealed to the Ninth Circuit
Advocates for Faith and Freedom is moving to round two, defending Chad Farnan, at the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. Following a great victory for Chad at the federal district court where Dr. James Corbett was found to have violated the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution, Dr. Corbett filed an appeal at the Ninth Circuit.
No Room For Homophobia
Let the indoctrination begin!
As the summer comes to a close, children across the country strap on their backpacks and head back to school. Homosexual activists have infiltrated public schools across the country in order to challenge the moral principles so many children have been taught by their parents. In at least one California school district, some of the junior high and high school classrooms have signs in their classrooms spewing propaganda that read, “No Room For Homophobia.”
Obama Funding Abortion with Taxpayer Money?
A handful of health care reform bills are currently being considered by Congress that may require taxpayers to fund abortions with their own tax dollars.
The proposed health care legislation seeks to establish a "public" health-care plan paid for by government funds and ultimately taxpayer’s money that is designed to "compete" with private-sector plans. Additionally, the proposed health care reform plan seeks to provide government subsidies to assist individuals of a certain income level in purchasing of the public health care plan.
Veteran's Memorial Cross Covered from View by Court Order
The Mojave Desert Cross, which stands 75 feet tall and memorializes soldiers who fought for the United States at great sacrifice, has been covered by court order. A federal judge ordered the Cross covered with a plywood box after the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) claimed the display of a cross as a veterans’ memorial violates the so-called “separation of church and state” and is unconstitutional.

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is clear. We are guaranteed the right to freely exercise our religion, through both our conduct and speech. Unfortunately, when it comes to the rights of individuals to express their religious beliefs, government interference is far too common.

California Supreme Court Upholds Proposition 8
The California Supreme Court rendered a decision May 26, 2009, upholding Proposition 8.
Defense of Marriage Act in Danger
According to Congressman John Conyers, a Democrat from Michigan, the House Judiciary Committee has enough votes to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (also known as “DOMA”). The 1996 Defense of Marriage Act prevents the federal government from treating a same-sex relationship as a legitimate marriage for any purpose. Additionally, this federal law exempts states from the obligation to treat relationships between persons of the same sex as marriage, even when the relationship may be considered a marriage in another state.
Louisiana Legislature Supports Freedom of Religion
The Louisiana Legislature is considering House Bill 430, which will strongly protect the religious liberties of its citizens. House Bill 430 seeks to amend the Free Exercise Clause of the Louisiana Constitution in order to ensure that no law is enacted to prohibit any religious belief. It also endeavors to guarantee the right of every person to freely act or refrain from acting based on a sincerely held religious belief.
