The opponents of Proposition 8 have falsely claimed that same-sex marriage will not be taught as part of California’s Educational Curriculum … but it is already happening. On October 14, 2008, the Sacramento Union reported that first graders were taken to San Francisco City Hall to share in the marriage of their lesbian teacher. The school’s principal called it ‘a teachable moment.’
Gay marriage will be taught in California public schools if we do not pass Prop 8. It has been stated that the nation follows the lead of California.
